MKA’s History Department is pleased to host “Terrorism in Africa and the U.S. Response” as part of the school’s 2018-2019 Hemmeter Lecture series. “Terrorism in Africa and the U.S. Response” will take place on November 28th at 7:00 pm at the MKA Upper School Campus in the Academic Center, 6 Lloyd Road, Montclair.
The lecture series will be led by Andrea M. Walther-Puri, a PhD candidate at the Fletcher School, Tufts University and former MKA student. Andrea M. Walther-Puri has extensive experience studying terrorist activity in Africa at the State Department and the Council on Foreign Affairs. She also has worked at the UN and several other organizations and recently returned from Mali and Niger where she was finishing up research for her dissertation. Her vast knowledge on this topic will make for an insightful and educational experience for all who attend.
