Teenagers across the U.S. marched in protest in Washington D.C., Parkland, Florida and in most towns with one theme:

Gun control is needed now.

Gun reform is being demanded by the teenagers who are saying they are fighting for their lives and that they will be the generation to make America safe.

March for our lives includes many thousands of local residents from our coverage area, many of whom rented buses and took the drive over 4-5 hours to join others from across America.

At this time, about 500,000 students are estimated to have walked in Washington D.C., and most states are reporting local marches as well.

In Montclair, a 5:00 PM meet up at the St. James Episcopal Church, offered to many local residents who could not get away or not able to physically march today.

Delaney Tarr of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School spoke to the crowd and said "We will continue to fight for our dead friends."

With the whole world watching, and voting for most of these new young activists only 2 years away, this new movement is being compared to the Civil Rights Movement.

Updates to follow.
