You’ve written your book and maybe even figured out how to get it published. Now what?! Publishing houses are merging, media outlets are closing, and books sections are being eliminated. Every day seems to bring a new seismic shift to the world of social media. So, what’s an author to do to ensure their book gets the attention it deserves? What’s the best use of an author’s time, energy, and budget? How do authors juggle the demands of writing while also building a platform and mercilessly flogging their books? What expectations are reasonable and what’s even possible out there in today’s ever-changing publishing and media landscape?

Presented by a team of seasoned PR & marketing professionals, this panel will present practical tips for surviving and thriving in this ever-changing world, whether you’re an aspiring or debut writer or a seasoned publishing veteran.

Taught by Meghan Walker and Gretchen Koss, partners in Tandem Literary, a full-service publicity & marketing firm that caters exclusively to authors and publishers. Koss and Walker have worked with such bestselling authors as Suze Orman, Nathaniel Philbrick, Dorothea Benton Frank and Mary Kay Andrews, and their authors have been featured in the pages of The New York Times and the Today Show, among many other outlets.

1.5 hours/Tickets $35.
